Axial movement is considered as the extension or compression of the pipeline system on its longitudinal axis, which means that the total length of the expansion joint will be extended or compressed in the process of absorbing movement.

Definitions 定义
Axial movement is shown as AX and stated in mm. Compression and elongation are indicated as negative (-) and positive (+).

Elongation +10 and compression -20 will be shown as: AX +10/-20 mm. Equal longitudinal movements are shown as: AX +/-20 mm (2δN).

Main purpose 主要用途
Axial expansion joints have the ability to compensate axial movement and have simple and compact overall size, so they are widely used in various applications. Axial expansion joints are especially common in long pipes, such as exhaust
